Imported directly from South Africa - this spice mix is used by butchers all over Southern Africa for that authentic South African biltong flavour.

To make your own biltong, just sprinkle 40g (about 3 tablespoons) of our unique biltong spice onto every kilo of fresh beef - let it marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 3-4 hours or preferably overnight, then hang in a suitable biltong drier.

Using our unique spice, there is no mess or fuss with salt or other ingredients. You just sprinkle, marinate, and hang.

Depending on the thickness of the meat and your drying method, you should have delicious biltong in 3-4 days.

450g of spice is enough to turn 11kg of raw beef into delicious Biltong. Your yield on 11kg of raw meat is around 6-8 kilograms of Biltong - depending on how wet or dry you like it and depending on the quality of the meat.
